PURPOSE OF THE SCREEN

A Pre-Work Screen (PWS) is a functional test to determine an individual’s ability to safely perform the requirements of a specific job.

The findings of the PWS are compiled into a report to assist an employer identify recommendations that might facilitate productive employment within the working environment specifically evaluated

EXECUTION OF THE FTW

The assessment can be conducted virtually, if appropriate but otherwise carried out at the practice. A PWS normally takes 1-2 hours. Standardised tools are used when relevant. Clients are requested to bring a list of medications, any medical documents, assistive devices (glasses, wheelchair, hearing aids, crutches etc.) and to wear comfortable clothing.
