OCCUPATIONAL DISABILITY RISK ASSESSMENT 

PURPOSE OF THE ASSESSMENT 

This assessment identifies the psychosocial risk factors for Occupational Disability (OD) and therefore is able to determine if an employee is at risk of OD. OD can occur when individuals who are struggling to overcome the challenges associated with a wide range of debilitating health and mental health condition, have difficulties performing their work duties.

 

PURPOSE OF THE REPORT

The findings are compiled into a report to assist an employer identify those at risk. This early identification seeks to prevent decline into permanent dysfunction & proactively promotes and maintains well-being in the workplace. The recommendations provided aim to facilitate productive employment

EXECUTION OF THE OD RISK ASSESSMENT 

The assessment can be conducted virtually, if appropriate but otherwise carried out at the practice. It normally takes 1-2 hours. Standardised tools are used when relevant. Clients are requested to bring a list of medications, any medical documents, assistive devices (glasses, wheelchair, hearing aids, crutches etc.) and to wear comfortable clothing.
