ABOUT US
WE ARE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS
All our IDA consultants are OTs, but what is an OT?!?!?
OTs are medical practitioners (yup, that means we did anatomy, physiology, ethics... the works!)
OTs assist people who have been injured or ill to regain their ability to perform their daily activities. We do this by addressing all the functions of a person (physical, cognitive & psychosocial) within all their areas of their life (leisure, work & home)
Occupational Therapists are the experts in function!
And no, we are not physios! While we work alongside physios...
A physio can help you get from point A to point B
An OT will help you do things at point A and at point B
And at IDA, the activity we are helping our clients do at point A and point B, is work!
Employment (work) is our area of special interest and skill (so no, IDA is not equipped to help you with your kids)
